About Fantasy Photo MI
Fantasy Photo MI is the work of Russ Turner, a Michigan-based photographer inspired by fantasy, folklore, film, and cinematic storytelling. His work blends dramatic lighting, rich color, atmosphere, and character-driven concepts influenced by mythology, dark fairytales, classic fantasy art, and the movies and books that shaped his imagination growing up. Known for immersive, story-focused portraiture and teaching fantasy photography workshops, Russ approaches each shoot with the goal of creating images that feel like moments pulled from a larger world rather than traditional portraits.
